Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

d1-studio is a local-first database management tool for Cloudflare D1, developed and maintained by Karen Redona ("we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at contact@d1-studio.com.

2. What data we collect

Anonymous usage telemetry

The app accepts anonymous telemetry events through our track endpoint. The event payload includes:

• Anonymous install ID
• Event name
• d1-studio version (if provided)
• Node.js version (if provided)
• Platform (if provided)

If telemetry opt-out is enabled, the CLI sends the x-no-telemetry: 1 header and no telemetry event is stored.

Account and billing data (Pro)

When you purchase or use Pro billing/licensing flows, we process and store:

• Email address
• Stripe customer ID and subscription ID
• License key, plan, billing interval, status, and expiry data
• Machine fingerprint on first license activation (if provided by the CLI)

Payment card details are processed by Stripe and are not stored in our database.

We do not collect:

• Your D1 database contents
• Your SQL query text
• Your Cloudflare API tokens

3. How we use your data

• Telemetry — to understand usage patterns, improve performance, and prioritize fixes
• Account and billing data — to create/manage Pro subscriptions, deliver license keys, validate licenses, and support billing portal access
• Transactional email — to send license and purchase-related messages
• We do not sell your data to third parties
• We do not use your data for advertising

4. Opting out of telemetry

You can disable telemetry by setting:

D1_STUDIO_NO_TELEMETRY=1

When disabled, telemetry events are skipped by our tracking endpoint.

5. Data storage and retention

• Telemetry events and license/billing records are stored in our Cloudflare D1 database
• Payment card data is stored by Stripe, not by us
• If you want account data deleted, email contact@d1-studio.com

6. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy
• Cloudflare — hosting and infrastructure. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
• Resend — transactional email delivery.

7. Children

d1-studio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always available at d1-studio.com/privacy.
