Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By installing or using d1-studio, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the tool.

d1-studio is developed and maintained by Karen Redona ("we", "us", "our").

2. License

Free plan

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use d1-studio for personal and commercial local development purposes, subject to these terms.

Pro plan

Upon purchasing a Pro license, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use all Pro features. License validation is tied to your active subscription status.

Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense d1-studio or any part of it
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
• Use d1-studio to build a competing product
• Share, transfer, or resell your license key
• Remove or alter any copyright or proprietary notices

3. Subscriptions and payment

• Pro is a one-time lifetime purchase via Stripe
• There are no recurring charges or subscription renewals
• All sales are final — no refunds are issued
• If you have trouble getting Pro working, contact support and we will make it work for you
• License access is validated against status and expiry (for example: active, past_due, cancelled, revoked)
• We reserve the right to change pricing for future purchases

Early adopter pricing

If you purchase a Pro plan during our early adopter period (first 100 users), your price is locked at the rate you paid for as long as your subscription remains active and uninterrupted. Cancelling and resubscribing forfeits the locked price.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use d1-studio only for lawful purposes. You may not use it to:

• Access databases you do not own or have explicit authorization to access
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Interfere with or disrupt any services or infrastructure

5. Your data and databases

• d1-studio runs locally on your machine and connects to your own Cloudflare D1 databases
• You are solely responsible for your database contents, schema, and any data you manage through d1-studio
• We have no access to your database contents unless you explicitly share them with us for support purposes
• We are not responsible for data loss resulting from restore operations (including Time Travel), migrations, or any other actions taken through d1-studio

Important: The Time Travel restore feature is a destructive operation that overwrites your remote D1 database. Always verify the restore point before confirming. We are not liable for data loss resulting from accidental or incorrect restore operations.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

d1-studio is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that:

• The tool will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Any bugs or errors will be corrected
• The tool will be compatible with all environments or configurations

Use at your own risk, especially when performing write, delete, or restore operations on production databases.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of business, arising from your use of d1-studio.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of d1-studio shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your license if you breach these terms. Upon termination, you must stop using d1-studio and delete all copies.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe billing portal.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of d1-studio after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. The latest version is always available at d1-studio.com/terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles.
